Our seats had become irreversibly worn out after years of intensive use. This summer, we therefore asked our loyal visitors for help. Thanks to their extraordinary support, we successfully raised €50,000 through a crowdfunding campaign.

With this funding, we are now carrying out a thorough renovation of the auditorium. On this page, you can find information and updates about the renovation. We expect to start the new year in January 2026 with a fully renewed auditorium, featuring brand-new seats and a fresh carpet, so we can welcome you back in full comfort!

 

 

Update December 2025

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been hard at work at De Uitkijk to get everything ready for our new cinema seats. Everything was going smoothly until we heard that the manufacturer decided our seats apparently need just a little more time to relax before traveling to Amsterdam. In short: unfortunately, they haven’t been delivered on time. But don’t worry! We’ve arranged temporary seating that’s surprisingly comfortable. Think of it as a short stopover on the way to the beautiful new seats we’re all looking forward to. So we’re open as usual and excited to welcome you back. Drop by, warm up with a good film, and of course we’ll keep you updated on when the brand-new seats arrive!
